What you can text Pinguingo

Everything happens by messaging the chat in your own words. There are no codes to memorise. Pinguingo reads what you mean and does it right away. Here’s the full range of what you can ask for.

Rating is the main thing you do

When a card arrives, reply easy, normal, or hard, by tapping the button or just typing it. That one reply is how Pinguingo decides when to bring the word back: easy words fade out, and the ones you get wrong come back sooner. You can also rate a word by name, like “that one was easy”.

Adding words from a photo

Snap or screenshot a menu, a street sign, a book page, or a handout, and send it to Pinguingo. It reads the image, pulls out the words, and tells you how many it added. No caption needed: the photo on its own is enough. See Adding your own vocabulary for more.

Changes happen instantly

Every change takes effect the moment you send it, and Pinguingo replies to confirm what it did. Removing a word is instant, there’s no “are you sure?” step, so it tells you which word it deleted instead of asking first. Removed one by accident? Just add it back with add <word>.

Pausing never breaks anything

Say stop for now or give me a break and your messages pause. There’s no streak to lose and no pile of catch-up waiting when you’re back. Say start sending again and your flashcards pick up where they left off.
